Australian East Coaster

Duration: 9 Nights / 10 Days   

3 nights at Sydney, 3 nights at Gold Coast and 3 nights at Cairns, daily breakfast, city tour of Sydney, visit to Blue Mountains & Wildlife Park, Movie World, Sea World, Kuranda Rainforest tour and Green Island.

Day 1 Arrive Sydney

Welcome to Sydney. Upon arrival at the airport, you will be transferred to your hotel (transfers on seat in coach basis). Check-in to your hotel room. Spend the rest of the day at leisure or explore the city on your own. Overnight at your hotel in Sydney.

Day 2 City Tour of Sydney

The half day city tour starts after breakfast. Visit The Rocks, the birthplace of Sydney, and the city's iconic Sydney Opera House before continuing up George Street, past Queen Victoria Building, Town Hall and the throbbing heart of the city. The tour also takes in Darling Harbour, the Chinese Gardens, Sydney Entertainment Centre and Chinatown. Continue past Hyde Park, the AMP Sydney Tower, the Royal Botanic Gardens and the Art Gallery before arriving at Mrs. Macquaries Chair which has a spectacular view of the harbour and city skyline. Other landmarks on the circuit include St Marys Cathedral, King's Cross, Rushcutters Bay and Double Bay. By the time you are dropped off at your hotel, you have a feel of the city. Spend the second half of the day exploring it on your own. Or maybe go for shopping. Overnight at your hotel in Sydney. (B)

Day 3 Full day Blue Mountains with Wildlife Park

After breakfast, set off on a full day excursion to the Blue Mountains. Drive through the historic township of Windsor and on to the Blue Mountains National Park. Stop for morning tea at the Bilpin Fruit Bowl (at your own expense). Next stop at Govetts Leap which overlooks Grose Valley before going on a picturesque ride on either the Scenic Skyway or Scenic Railway (at your own expense). Later visit Echo Point to view The Three Sister. Then travel through the Blue Mountain townships of Leura, Wentworth Falls and Lawson to Feather dale Wildlife Park. Have yourself photographed with a cuddly koala (at your own expense) and feed kangaroos. Return to the hotel. Overnight at your hotel in Sydney. (B)

Day 4 Sydney to Brisbane to Gold Coast

After breakfast, proceed to the airport for your flight to Brisbane. Arrive in Brisbane and transfer to your hotel in Gold Coast (transfers on seat in coach basis). Spend the rest of the day at leisure or discovering the city on your own. Overnight at your hotel in Gold Cost. (B)

Day 5 Movie World

After breakfast, the make believe world of tinsel land comes alive at Warner Bros. Movie World on the Gold Coast. Movie magic happens every day! Australia's only movie related theme park invites you to experience a fun filled, family adventure embellished with all the glitz and glamour of Hollywood. Meet your favourite stars and enjoy all the scenes behind action, comic stunts and exhilarating rides, shows and attractions! Warner Bros. Movie World lets you cuddle your favourite Looney Tunes characters such as Bugs Bunny or Daffy Duck, shake hands with superheroes such as Batman or Cat woman or boogie with Austin Powers and his shagadelic babes! Warner Bros. Movie World provides its guests with the ultimate in movie magic with an array of rides, attractions and experiences guaranteed to amaze, enchant and excite people of all ages. Return to your hotel and spend the night, probably dreaming of Hollywood at your hotel in Gold Coast. (B)

Day 6 Sea World

After breakfast, you are in for a treat as you set off on a Sea World Tour, one of Gold Coast's prime attractions, which has something for everyone: fun rides, live shows and animal exhibits. For thrill seekers, there is a variety of rides including the Corkscrew rollercoaster, the Bermuda Triangle, Vikings Revenge, the Pirate Ship and Sea Worlds Water Park with a range of waterslides. Visitors can also enjoy close encounters of the amazing kind with marine animals such as polar bears, dolphins, seals, penguins, birds, fish swimming through coral gardens and even sharks. Sea World's brand new Shark Bay exhibit, the world's largest man made lagoon system for sharks, is a must experience highlight which offers visitors an unsurpassed view of experts interacting with these awe inspiring creatures. Pepper the full day outing by watching the number of spectacular shows featuring dolphins, seals and the Ski Challenge waterskiing spectacular that dot the theme park. Day 7 Brisbane to Cairns

After breakfast, proceed to the Brisbane airport for your flight to Cairns. Arrive into Cairns and transfer to your hotel (transfers on seat in coach basis). Spend the rest of the day at leisure or exploring the city on your own. Overnight at your hotel in Cairns. (B)

Day 8 Kuranda Rainforest Tour

After breakfast, you ride the breathtaking beautiful Kuranda Scenic Railway to tropical Kuranda Station where you have free time to explore the village and browse through its famous markets. From here it is onto Rainforest Station Nature Park which boasts of 40 hectares of gardens and rainforest set amidst World Heritage rainforest. Here you get to ride an all terrain amphibious army duck through dense rainforests and learn about its ecosystem as your guide reveals secrets about the vast array of flora and fauna around you. Meander through the Tropical Fruit Orchard visit the Koala and Wildlife Park and come face to face with native crocodiles, rainforest pythons, cassowaries and dingoes. Hand feed barramundi, kangaroos and wallabies. Cuddle a koala and have your photograph taken with it (at your own expense). The rainforest amphitheatre set in totally natural setting stages a dramatic performance of the Pamagirri Aboriginal Dancers to the accompaniment of didgeridoo music. The Dreamtime Walk spices Aboriginal and island culture with boomerang and spear throwing lessons. Return to Cairns via the Rainforest Cableway and enjoy a bird's eye view of pristine World Heritage Rainforest with stops at Barron Falls and Red Peak stations. Overnight at your hotel in Cairns. Day 9 Visit to Green Island

After breakfast set off on a cruise to Green Island. Sail on a Catamaran to an island paradise where you can set off down the adventure trail, relax in romantic settings or do a little of both. Green Island, part of a protected Marine Park, is famous for its emerald rainforest surrounded by white sandy beaches and beautiful coral reefs. The day brims with endless possibilities: stroll through the cool rainforest; snorkel, scuba dive, swim in inviting waters; view colourful fish swimming through coral gardens from the comfort of a glass bottom boat or semi submersible; relax at the luxurious day visitor facilities; laze on beaches of powdered white coral sands. Enjoy tea / coffee and a BBQ lunch. Return to Cairns relaxed and rejuvenated. Overnight at your hotel in Cairns. (B, L)

Day 10 Fly back home

After breakfast, say good bye to this enchanting city as you are transferred to the airport for your flight back home (transfers on seat in coach basis). The tour ends at the airport. (B)
