Day 1 Arrive Beijing
 Welcome to Beijing, upon arrival you will be transferred to your hotel (transfers on private basis). The rest of the day is yours to explore the city at leisure. Beijing is one of the world's truly imposing cities with broad boulevards that now pulsate to the rhythms of commerce and entertainment. Overnight at your hotel in Beijing.

Day 2 Excursion to Great Wall & Summer Palace
After breakfast, the Great Wall of China and the Imperial Summer Palace beckon. The seat in coach tour first takes you to the world renowned Great Wall, a 6,000 km long symbol of ancient Chinese civilization which has withstood the ravages of time and history. Walk on the parapets of this imposing structure that rides the crest of the hills outside Beijing before proceeding to the Imperial Summer Palace and Royal Gardens of the Qing Dynasty. The day's tour includes a vegetarian lunch. Return to your hotel. Overnight at your hotel in Beijing. (B, L)

Day 3 Beijing - Shanghai
After breakfast, visit Tiananmen Square, the largest city square in the world. Then proceed to the Forbidden City, the grand imperial residence of 24 emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties and one of the largest and best preserved palace complexes in the world. Later proceed to the temple of Heaven, a 2.7 million square metre edifice where the ancient Emperors of China prayed to heaven for good harvests. After a vegetarian lunch you proceed to the airport for your flight to Shanghai. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel (transfers on private basis). The rest of the day is yours to explore the city at leisure. Shanghai, situated on the banks of the Yangtze River, is China's largest and most dynamic city. Day 4 Full day city tour of Shanghai
After breakfast, exotic Shanghai welcomes you. The first stop of the half day city tour is at the Yuyuan Garden located in heart of the old city. Stroll through a picture postcard setting shrouded in many beautiful legends before proceeding to The Bund at the end of the Nanjing Road. Here, where the old and new collide, you will be able to see many magnificent buildings, like the Grand Hyatt, Oriental TV Tower and Hong Kong Banking Corporation. Nanjing Road is also an important shopping district of the city. After a vegetarian lunch, you visit the Children's Palace and Shanghai Museum at People's Square. The museum is reputed to have the finest Chinese art collection in the world. Overnight at your hotel in Shanghai. (B, L)

Day 5 Fly Back Home
